Meetings & Events
WG21 meets three times a year for week-long, face-to-face plenary sessions. All subgroups convene simultaneously, making each meeting the primary venue for advancing proposals toward the standard.
// How to attend
Who can attend?
Everyone is welcome to attend official WG21 meetings — you can join as a guest or as an official member. Guests are able to take part in everything except the final plenary approval votes held three times a year.
If attending as a guest, email the WG21 Convener ahead of time with your name and the country where you live or work — this helps WG21 comply with ISO requirements. For in-person meetings, it also helps them plan for seating, refreshments, and badges. Please try to give at least one week’s notice.
After your first meeting, you can continue participating by joining your country’s national body or through sponsorship by a current member.
